GDPR & Data Protection
This page explains the rights available to individuals in the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), and United Kingdom (UK) under the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and how Marketplace Lister supports them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. Data Controller
For personal data you provide as an account holder, Marketplace Lister acts as the data controller. For content you process about your own customers or buyers within the Service, you are the controller and we act as your data processor.
2. Lawful Bases for Processing
We process personal data under one or more of these lawful bases:
- Contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Consent — for optional cookies and marketing, where applicable.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.
3. Your GDPR Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any right: Contact Us. We respond within one month as required by the GDPR.
4. International Transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to protect it.
5. Data Processing & Sub-processors
We use vetted sub-processors (e.g. hosting, email, and payment providers) under data-processing agreements that require appropriate security and confidentiality. A current list is available on request.
6. Data Breach Notification
If a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and affected individuals without undue delay, as required by law.
7. Complaints
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first — please contact us at {support@webpronc.com}.
